Dover District Council Planning Department - Do they really know what they are doing? |

Many people feel they that have been adversely affected by perverse or out-of-depth decisions made by Dover District Council.
Of course not all that go's on at Dover District Council is bad and we are sure that it is full of good honest people who strive to make a positive contribution, but there are serious questions to be asked about certain individuals; let's make these individuals accountable for their actions.

Regarding the refusal of application 06/01017 the case officer states:
‘I consider that this is a restrictive plot which cannot accommodate two dwellings without causing unacceptable overlooking or being spatially and visually incongruous with the surrounding development, contrary to Local Plan policies DD1, DD4, DD5 and DD6, and QL1.'
You've guessed it... Rachel Ellwood and Tim Flisher grant permission for two dwellings on the same restrictive plot.

We had long running problems with DDC and a developer who would not finish off the work.
In the end, we made a formal complaint and the PSO was Mr. Grieve who was the first person I had come across who actually thought the service we had received was appalling. He said he "could not beleive" the content of some of the emails sent out by Paul Francis.

We've had a problem for some years over a bellied sewer outlet pipe. Not too brilliant an image, but there it goes.
The local developer connected a new estate to the existing system without permission and the problems worsened. Buiiding Control handed over the Phase I completions certificates without even checking the original sewers could take the increased load.
